Point Pleasant old photos

The Native American Indians chose Madison Lake as a choice spot to fish and camp. The Indians and others who camped here acclaimed this place Point Pleasant, as the "Place in the Sun," which has been in existence since 1870.

Senior citizens of today recall spending their summers staying in first-rate cottages, the excellent beach and bath house, the unique diving pier, and yes, the seventy-five foot tobaggon slide into the water! After a day of many choices, the patrons enjoyed luxury meals and dancing in the pavillion into the wee hours of the morning.

Since 1930 the Sheppard family have continued to maintain a facility geared to customer satisfaciton. Continuous upgrading and improvement have made this Madison Lake landmark what it is today. The most recent improvement is a newly built condo building offering 2 and 3 bedroom units.

Come join us at Point Pleasant and make
your own memories!
